Conveniently situated 10 minutes from town, Explora is a luxurious, modern establishment with an abundance of amenities and wonderful horses. You’ll love the opulent main hall with its gorgeous views of the majestic mountains and surrounding countryside. Take a walk in the 42-acre grounds or cool down with a swim in one of the hotel’s four pools. You can relax in the jacuzzis or get a massage in one of the outdoor rooms. With its friendly staff, fun activities and comfy rooms, this hotel is a popular place for couples to stay. We recommend that you book a tour with one of the guides from the Explora Guide School: there are over 40 tours on offer, including hiking, bike riding, horseback riding, stargazing and more. When you stay at the Explora you can choose between 19 rooms with simple décor or between four luxurious suites.
Treat yourself to a luxurious room at the exclusive Awasi hotel. With only ten rooms, this establishment offers you privacy as well as a high level of service. If you’re planning a romantic getaway, we’d recommend booking the rectangular suite for extra privacy. You’ll be delighted by the delicious treats which are delivered to your room each day in a charming box. Meticulous attention to detail sets the Awasi apart from other establishments in San Pedro de Atacama. Being conveniently located in town means the views aren’t amazing, so it’s not for everyone. Private guides are available to take you on tours which gives you the freedom to explore the surrounding attractions at your own pace. After a day of sight-seeing, you can cool off in the pool or relax by the fire pit in the evenings. The hotel’s Relais & Chateaux restaurant serves an array of mouth-watering dishes.
Nestled among immense red cliffs, the Alto Atacama is an expansive and beautiful property. It's remotely located twenty minutes from town. Families will enjoy the abundance of small swimming pools which are perfect for kids. After exploring the surrounding attractions on one of the hotel’s excursions, you can relax at the spa, get a massage or jump into the Jacuzzi. The delicious food and efficient service contribute to an unforgettable holiday. Look out for the llamas (there’s even a baby llama) who call the Alto Atacama home. The three-room types include standard, ‘quitor’ and suite variations. The design of the Alto Atacama reflects local village architecture with a focus on environmental sustainability. If you’re looking for tranquillity and authenticity, this is the right hotel for you.
The relatively small Tierra Atacama features eye-catching architecture and design and easy town access. The spacious rooms are exquisitely decorated to ensure that you enjoy a comfortable stay. The oriente and poniente rooms feature outdoor showers and a terrace. If you’re traveling with a larger group, you can book a family room which can accommodate six people. All the rooms have Wi-Fi so that you can stay connected in absolute comfort. The welcoming ambiance and friendly staff offer you an authentic experience during your stay at the Tierra Atacama. You can soak up the tranquillity on the terraces, relax on the decks or enjoy a drink around one of the fire pits. The food and service come highly recommended.
The Altiplanico is a Boutique hotel which is situated just five minutes from town. You have the choice of standard, superior, suite and family rooms. You can watch spectacular sunsets from the comfort of the hotel’s private terraces or relax at the pool after exploring the desert. The Altiplanico was designed according to the concept of visual silence giving guests a peaceful respite to relax and unwind. The dining experience is perfectly acceptable but we wouldn’t really recommend this establishment for foodies.
